- Narrow it by position or birthplace if you like.
- Press the button. Each player in the pool has an equal chance, and you can draw again as often as you want.
Where are today's NHL players from?
329 of the 799 rostered players were born in Canada (41%), 224 in the United States (28%), 79 in Sweden and 39 in Finland. The rest come from 12 other countries.
How does the generator pick a player?
It picks from the filtered list with your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so every player has the same chance and no draw depends on the last one. The list is the NHL's current active rosters: players in the minors or on long-term injured reserve may not appear.
How this data works
Rosters, positions, numbers and birthplaces come from the NHL's public roster data for each club. Data updated October 30 at 2:35 p.m. ET.
